How it works

Guess a hidden five-sound word. Orange means right sound, right spot. Gold means right sound, wrong spot. Each key speaks when pressed.

Data & privacy

Daily and practice

Daily guesses, the sound setting, and your analytics choice are saved in this browser until you clear its site data. Practice puzzles are not saved.

Prize mode

itch.io gives us your numeric account ID. A signed, HttpOnly cookie keeps you signed in for 30 days.

The challenge database keeps keyed hashes of that account ID and your IP address, plus the puzzle answer, your guesses, timestamps, result, campaign, and issued key. We use that to resume your puzzle, enforce the cooldown and one-key limit, and let you retrieve a key you already won. Claim records stay in the giveaway database so those protections and key recovery keep working.

We do not ask for your email. We do not store your itch.io access token or username, and the challenge database does not store your raw IP address.

Analytics

Google Analytics sends cookieless measurement data while analytics storage is denied. If you accept, analytics storage, including cookies, is enabled. We use Analytics to measure visits and basic game actions such as mode, guess number, result, sharing, and outbound clicks.
